Outlook for iOS allows you to send and receive emails, view and manage your calendar, and more. If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch uses iOS 8.0 or higher, you can set up Outlook for iOS on your iOS mobile device.

If your device is not compatible with Outlook for iOS, Set up email in the built-in iOS Mail app. If you're having setup or sync issues, you can Troubleshoot email setup on mobile.

Add an email account to Outlook for iOS

  1. Open Outlook for iOS.
  2. If this is your first time opening the app, tap Get Started. If not, tap Settings > Add Account > Add Email Account.

Notes: If you're asked to select your email provider, choose from list shown. If you don't see your email provider, select IMAP. Choosing IMAP means you will only be able to sync email, not calendar or contacts.

  1. Enter your email account password and tap Sign In. You may also be asked to enter a description and display name.
  1. Outlook may request access to some of your email features such as calendar, contacts, etc. If you'd like to sync these to your mobile device, tap Yes or Allow to give permission.
